2014 Sony World Photography Awards - Category Winner, Panoramic, Open competition
Ivan Pedretti is a professional photographer living in Sardinia, Italy. Most of his photographs are panoramic landscapes taken at night.
In 2014, Ivan won the Sony World Photography Awards Panoramic category with one of his images called "Starry lighthouse". Ivan also won the 2014 Panobook contest as the best panoramic photographer and was awarded 1st place at the Moscow INTERNATIONAL FOTO AWARDS 2014 in panoramic category. One of his pictures was published in the Times on 4th October 2014. Ivan was a finalist in the HIPA 2014, night category and won the award Viewbug image of the year 2014 of viewbug.com.
In 2016, he won the third place in nature category in the Siena International photo awards with the panoramic nightscape of Italian Dolomites. Ivan has also been a finalist at HIPA 2016 in the black & white category and portfolio and at the Travel Photographer of the Year 2016. In 2017, Ivan Pedretti won the Silver medal at Moscow INTERNATIONAL FOTO AWARDS in nature landscape category and received a Silver Award at the 8th EPSON International Pano Awards. He also won the nature category in the FotoNoja 2017 photography contest in Spain.
In 2018, he was a finalist at the contest VITE IN VIAGGIO, with his shot displayed at the exhibition Vite in Viaggio in Verona at the Arena Museo Opera - Palazzo Forti. In 2018, Ivan won the landscape category at the Oasis Photo Contest and the title of Italian Oasis photographer. Other prices and awards include third place at the Goldenturtle 2018, winner in landscape category at the Fotonoja 2018, 2019 highly commended in the 29th Memorial Maria Luisa in mountain landscape category, 2019 Member of Jury Golden Turtle, 2019 Honoralbel Mention at the Cadiz photo nature, 2019 Category Winner at the 23° Festival Photo Montier Finalist at the Travel Photographer of the Year. On December 4th 2019, Ivan Pedretti's picture Electric Night was published for APOD NASA, astronomy picture of the day. In 2020, he became the winner of the landscape category at the Glanzlichter.
